Analytics in PATOffice
Analytics in PATOffice
Our Analytics module brings a whole new world of features to our app.
Create individual Dashboards that are tailored to a variety of use cases. Using widgets, you can visualize the data relevant to you with different chart types.
Analytics Dashboards
Similarly to Workspaces, you can create multiple Dashboards for different topics. A Dashboard can contain any number of widgets that display your data in various ways. Widgets can be moved and rearranged using the six-dot icon next to the cogwheel icon to create the best display for you.
You can also decide who should have access to a Dashboard using the Share function at the top right.
As with Workspaces, you can access your Dashboards via the sidebar or switch to the Dashboard Overview page to manage them. As usual, Dashboards can also be marked as favorites and are then displayed in the corresponding section of your sidebar.
It is also possible to add a description to your Dashboard using the Edit function, or duplicate an entire Dashboard. These functions can be found via the cogwheel at the top right.
Widgets
Widgets are the basic building blocks that make up a Dashboard. To create widgets, you should first carry out a search that delivers the documents relevant to you. Then, select the action Add to dashboard on the right-hand side.
You can then choose between different chart types to visualize your search results.
The following chart types are currently available:
Widgets can also be duplicated or copied to another Dashboard via the widget cogwheel menu.
Another feature in Analytics is the option to generate widget snapshots. Snapshots freeze the otherwise live data in a widget at its current state in time and, therefore, allow you to track how it develops over time. This enables you to identify trends that might otherwise remain undetected. Widget snapshots are displayed as a list via the widget gear menu shown above once they have been set up using the corresponding function. You can name your snapshots and decide whether they should also be displayed as widgets on the Dashboard. Additionally, you can set PATOffice to create snapshots automatically according to a specific schedule.
AI in Analytics
One of the most interesting features in the new Analytics module is the integration with AI. For example, you can have diagrams summarized and explained and then save the AI output as a diagram description. You can find these features via the magic wand icon or using the quick access drop-down menu next to it. Select the prompt that suits you best from a list of different options.
Many more exciting features will be added in the future.
